As a reminder of our weather policy: Unless there is thunder or lightning, all practices and games will proceed as scheduled. If we need to cancel due to bad weather, we will promptly notify you via email, text, and update the Field Directory below specific to your child's league. If you don't receive a notification from us, please assume the game is on as scheduled.
If there is inclement weather, the games will proceed according to the following weather timing:
Thunder/Lightning before Game Time: If there is thunder or lightning or extreme weather before a game starts, there will be a 30-minute delay. If the adverse weather persists during this delay, games scheduled for that hour will be canceled.
First 15 Minutes of Game Time: If there is thunder and lightning, or extreme weather within the first 15 minutes of a game, a 30-minute delay will be initiated. The game may go on as planned if the adverse weather does not continue during the delay. If adverse weather persists, games for that hour will be rescheduled for a later date if possible.
After 15 Minutes of Game Time: If adverse weather conditions continue during the 30-minute delay, all games for that hour will be postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date if possible.
Halftime Through Remainder of Game: If there is thunder or lightning or extreme weather occurring at halftime or thereafter, all games will be stopped and considered complete. The final outcome will be based on the game score at the time of interruption due to weather conditions. These games will be finalized and not rescheduled.
Please note that we will not reschedule if a coach independently decides to cancel your child's practice and/or game.
Every league will provide one makeup date per season if field availability permits. In cases where multiple cancellations occur within the season, National Flag Football reserves the right to schedule doubleheaders and adjust the season calendar to accommodate makeup games. While we strive to be as accommodating as possible, it's important to note that rescheduling canceled games may not always be feasible due to factors beyond our control.
Our Weather Policy is implemented in conjunction with and per the Refund Policy and the Force Majeure Cancellation Policy, both of which are referenced herein.
